What do you think of the 'highschool clique' twist to Big Brother 11?
Jul 2 2009, 2:39 PM EDT
What do you think of this twist? They will have to be in cliques and compete against each other, so the alliances are pre-set. What do you think of this twist? And how will this affect strategies?

i dont know about this -- i think they could have come up with something more exciting than watching high school reunion. they should have used the brainiacs to come up with a better idea. but then again , we havent seen them interact with each other yet.i just expect too much when it comes to bb. and it might depend on how exciting the 13th person is. no one can be as great as dick or renny 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Actually, I think it will interesting.... The cliques are not preset from what I am hearing.I kinda like the extra tactic of if someone in your clique is HoH, you can not be nominated, which will make HoH much more competitive. Also, cross group alliances will be key... I am worried about the Have/Have Not thing....hopefully that will be individually not as a "group".... We will have to wait I guess....also they have hinted AMerica/viewers will have influence, do you think we will vote on who is Popular each week? Thus changing up the cliques.....Hmmmmmm 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I hated the cliques when I was in HS about a hundred years ago. The pops treated everyone else like dirt under their feet. I was in the brainiac group. but it didn't come easy. I had to study hard. To be treated as un-important was quite hurtful. I told my grandduaghter to be friends with everyone. She is a well rounded young lady and doing well.

"Ick!!! Who wants to watch a summer of "high school?"! I hope BB comes up with something better than the catty, backstabbing pricks one meets in high school!! If not, they are most likely going to loose their 40+ viewers. Or maybe BB does not care anymore about its older viewers who have followed them for the last 10 years! 3 out of 3 found this valuable. I sincerely hope they do care about us "older" folks. I think we've been the real backbone of this program.

BB needs a producer and casting director makover. They obviously have shunned the older crowd that has made the show popular. The 20+ years old are just freeloaders !! I say cancel the show CBS and find another show for its time slot

I'll have to wait and see to form an opinion , but it seems like it will be a bee's nest in the house . I read in my local newspaper that at some point an extra houseguest will be joining the house and may benefit one of the groups . I wonder who it will be ? Last seasons winner Dan ? Anyone hear anything about this ? Actually Dan teaches/coaches about 20 miles from where I live , in a newspaper article the other day he said that him and his fiancee broke up a few months after he came home . Not sure if this addy(url) will work in herehttp://www.detnews.com/article/20090708/ENT10/907080303/Dearborn-s-Dan-Gheesling-says--Big-Brother--changed-his-life?imw=Y 1 out of 1 found this valuable. 18. Just like HS...?
Jul 9 2009, 9:42 PM EDT
Did anyone else feel like it REALLY was like HS all over again...with the ATHLETES and POPULAR group being the center of attention (hence, left in the challenge) and the BRAINS and ODD-BALLS looking on? Not really sure if its "fair" to divide them up into such groups...esp'ly for the oddballs...since at least the Brainy people can win the mental challenges...and the popular people are still althetic enough to win physcial challenges.
